salutations
Salutations world!
This is another clumsy forage into the murky undergrowth that is online blogging. Unfortunately my first blog, self-deprecatingly named 'The Diary of a Nobody' has been cast adrift. It was great while I was child-free but when baby B arrived along came the demon that is known as sleep deprivation. Blogging vs Shut-eye, Typing on a Keyboard vs Sanity, Abusing my poor wifi vs Living. No contest chaps.
Now baby B is no longer a baby but almost a proper person now with likes (he's passionate about bananas and 'Paw Patrol') and dislikes (our cat and prescribed dental hygiene) I feel as though I am ready to wade in and start airing and sharing my life as mother of B.
It must be acknowledged however that B has not annoyed Vladmir Putin (yet) and is definitely not in a witness protection programme. So let's get over ourselves and start the introduction. B is Baxter (like the soup). He arrived into the world on 6-02-13 screaming like a banshee all red and wrinkly looking. The screaming has more or less stopped as has the redness and wrinkles so we have decided to keep him. This almost three year old is as much as it sickens me to say it; my sunshine.
Parenting an almost three year old can be so lovely like tonight when he said 'sweet dreams' as I put him to bed (what a suck up) but it can also be heartbreaking like when I hear B laughing with daddy and scoot off to his room to join in the fun and get told 'Not you mummy! Don't want you mummy!' My heart literally took out it's own mini heart and stomped on it like a Russian doll of sadness and gore.
This blog might be a handy keep-sake for when he's older and can petrifyingly read it himself. (CAN YOU IMAGINE..??) or it might just provide a few friends with some late night chuckles. Either way feel free to share the insanity of parenting with me by reading these itty bitty offerings of experience.
